Are you ready to take health, safety, and wellbeing to the next level for your organisation?
Consultants
An outside Consultant (e.g. a HASANZ-Registered Professional), leading the vital health and safety information provided to your team, gives the information a dynamic framework. The Consultant provides support to the leader, who is primarily accountable for legislated requirements. (The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 is part of the suite of laws covering Criminal Law in NZ). The Consultant can accommodate the time-needs of the organisation to avoid any un-helpful disruption of work-flow.
On-Site
The Consultant provides site-based practical training workshops for employers and/or managers and also for frontline workers, to: “Develop skills in identifying and managing workplace health and safety hazards and risks”. This is a great way to establish a programme of continuous improvement. In many cases, the training workshops are at least as effective as, (and clearly more inclusive than), an ongoing formal training course for individual workers. The Consultant is able to return to provide refreshers for inductions and for continuous improvement in skills and capability. Our Consultant, ( an Occupational Health Nurse, with 15 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Inspector), provides essential information to meet legislated requirements and enhance wellbeing.
Risk Management
The Consultant, (also an ICF-Certified Coach), will assist you to develop a practical understanding of essential risk management processes for an effective health and safety system. This will include developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are essential for high-risk activities and also very useful for other areas where ongoing training and review is required. Your team will help to develop these documents, based on their own experience, giving the whole team a chance to understand what works and what may not work, and subsequently providing the best possible processes for each task. Coaching conversations seek to support the thinking of the individual by asking for input rather than instructing or telling someone what to do.
Effective Systems
It is important to understand that a large folder of documents (that is unlikely to be read, no matter what is written), is no substitute for, or validation of, engagement and participation of workers. The work that is shared with the team in setting up and maintaining the simple and effective systems of the organisation is key to the cohesive and productive outcomes that will benefit everyone.
Training Verification
A certificate confirming the training undertaken, that provides evidence of your continuous improvement activities, and the engagement and participation of workers at any or all levels of the organisation, will be provided as confirmation of your successful completion of the work.
Investment
2-hour workshops for one or more managers, or for your whole team, are provided @ $750+gst/onsite workshop per business.
